Individual Computer Products International Ltd yesterday launched four new Ambra personal computers, based on Intel Corp 80486SX, DX and DX2 chips and running under MS-DOS 5 and Windows 3.1. Two slimline Sprinta models have 64Kb cache, 1Mb Video RAM, 4Mb RAM. The 100Mb disk model is UKP850; the 200Mb is UKP1,020. The Hurdla models have 256Kb cache, 4Mb RAM, graphics accelerator and high colour RAMDAC. The 100Mb disk model costs UKP900; the 200Mb is UKP1,070. Meantime ICPI general manager Alan Willshire has been promoted by IBM; he is to be succeeded by Guiseppe Giovanni, coming from ICPI’s personal systems staff.
