Hexaware Technologies, a global provider of IT & BPO services and consulting, has launched a new service offering, ERP Shared Services Support. Through this 24×7 service offering, Hexaware will provide maintenance and support services for ERP applications including SAP, PeopleSoft and Oracle E- Business Suite.

The company claimed that in addition to 100% utilisation of resources, this alternative delivery model will also provide demand based pricing flexibility, scalability of services and predictability of IT expenditure for the customers.

The ERP Application Support and Maintenance (ASM) involves a team of resources who are specialised in a functional area or an ERP product. The variability in the workload for support teams results in customers engaging high cost specialists on need basis thus resulting in an increased Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), the company said.

Hexaware claimed that it would leverage its application transition methodology, ASM best practices and ERP expertise and minimise the risks involved in providing such a unique value proposition to its customers. Hexaware will also offer its IP based services in the ERP space like data masking, customisation analysis, data migration services as value added top-up services.

Moorthi Chokkanathan, global head of enterprise solutions at Hexaware Technologies, said: “Our ERP-Shared Services solutions will effectively address the need for savings ensuring a 20%-30% cost saving over and above the traditional offshore based support models.

“Consumption based pricing will ensure customers derive complete value for money while paying per use and benefiting from the shared resource pool. Ensuring data security and privacy is of prime concern for us at Hexaware and therefore special tools and processes have been put in place to ensure total security and privacy of client application and data.”

Hexaware added that the implementation of these shared services will help ERP users gain better control over IT expenditure and ensure better levels of operational excellence. The offering will also be a SLA based delivery model with adherence to regulatory compliance, coupled with a tool based security administration and audit.
