Univel Inc will ship the English-language version of UnixWare, its shrink-wrapped System V.4.2-based operating system, on November 30 to European distributors. It will be available to end users in December with European language versions out in the first quarter of 1993. UnixWare is aimed at the Intel Corp 80386 and 80486 personal computer desktop market but it will also be available for Sparc systems in 1993. UnixWare Personal Edition client costs ?290, the Application Server costs ?1,470 and the Software Development kit is ?590. UK distributors are Azlan Ltd, Ingram Micro UK Ltd, Interquad Distribution Ltd and Merisel UK Ltd; all are existing NetWare distributors.
