Dynatech Communications Corp, headquartered in Madison, Wisconsin, has announced three local network products for the Token Ring environment. The products offer compatibility with the DNC-10, -18 and -36 hubs. The TM-LB Token Ring Bridge Module, which costs from UKP4,000, supports source and transparent routing as well as the source routing transparent protocol. The UTM/IO/R Token Ring repeater module is designed for use with unshielded twisted pair and the STM/IO/R for use with shielded twisted pair cables. The modules are priced at from UKP893 in the UK. The UTM-610, -610/S and FTM-604 double height Token Ring modules cost from UKP790, and enable lobes and inter-hub links to be connected over unshielded twisted pair and shielded twisted pair as well as over fibre-optic cables.
