F5 Networks said that it has completed validated integration testing of its BIG-IP Local Traffic Manager (LTM) and WebAccelerator products with Oracle applications, through the Oracle PartnerNetwork Application Integration Architecture for Partners (AIAP) initiative.
F5 said that it has achieved Oracle validated integration for BIG-IP LTM and WebAccelerator with Oracle’s E-Business Suite 12.0, PeopleSoft Enterprise 9.0, and Siebel CRM 8.0. F5/Oracle product integrations have been tested and validated as functionally and technically sound; are integrated with Oracle Applications in a standards-based way; and that the integrations operate and perform as documented.
The validations completed through the AIAP initiative build on its existing portfolio of offerings for Oracle applications that help Oracle customers optimise their application infrastructures for better productivity, and return on investment, the company claims.
F5 said that its BIG-IP enhances the role of the network in application environments and are designed, engineered, tested, and documented for integration with enterprise applications. The BIG-IP WebAccelerator integration enhances web content delivery by ensuring efficient use of bandwidth and preventing repetitive or duplicate data from being served to users.
Kevin O’Brien, senior director of ISV and SaaS strategy at Oracle, said: “Validation through Oracle PartnerNetwork Application Integration Architecture for Partners gives customers confidence that integrations between Oracle Applications and complementary partner solutions have been tested and work together as designed. This can help reduce risk, improve system implementation cycles, and provide for smoother upgrades and simpler maintenance.”
