Software AG reports that sales for 1990 were up 32% at $389m, although unfavourable currency translations cut that to 11% measured in Deutsche Marks: the domestic Darmstadt company, which takes in the European affiliate grew 21% to $216m; Software AG of North America had its fifteenth consecutive profitable year, reporting revenues of $100m, up 9% over last year; it also said worldwide profits and product sales were on plan; and that over 20% of turnover was invested in product development; employment climed 14% to 3,800.
