New from San Jose, California-based Radius Inc is the Professional Publishing Pack, a bundle of products designed to boost the performance of Macintosh-based colour publishing systems. The Pack includes Radius’s Rocket 33 accelerator, RocketShare multi-processing software, and PrecisionColor 24X display interface, all for $4,000 – a saving of $1,000 over the list prices if bought separately. It is designed to improve processes like image rendering, page rasterisation and application filter execution. Radius’s SCSI II Booster for high performance disk drives provides further gains by reducing the time needed to access and retrieve disk files and giving access to scanners, printers and other SCSI peripherals. The pack is available now from Radius resellers. Minimum requirements are a NuBus-based Macintosh II or Quadra computer system with at least two available NuBus slots.
