Executive information system developer Pilot Software Inc, has launched a Microsoft Corp Windows version of its 20-year old FCS mainframe-based business modelling tools: FCS for Windows is a multi-user, local area network-based multi-dimensional financial modelling and analysis tool for client-server systems; it integrates database management, modelling, analysis, consolidation, and reporting in one package; because it provides a direct link from mainframe databases to individual personal computers, users can access data from anywhere on the network to perform budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning and operational analysis sequences; FCS for Windows runs under Windows 3.0 or higher on an 80386 processor and supports NetBIOS and IPX networking protocols; it needs a minimum 4Mb of memory, 8Mb of disk space, a Microsoft mouse or compatible pointing device; available now, it is UKP39,000 for a licence for up to 25 users.
