Emulex Corp of Costa Mesa, California has a new microchip device, the FAS216, that includes features to facilitate SCSI-2 support and offers the fast data transfer rate of 10Mb per second: the FAS216 is available now in sample quantities and it ranges from $28.75 to $31 per unit in 1,000-piece quantities.
