AT&T International Inc and Comsat Investments Inc have formed Transporte Digital de Informacion SA in Caracas, Venezuela: the new company is officially registered to be an operator by the Venezuelan government and is submitting the documentation required for the granting of a concession to provide digital services – it was created to provide multinational companies with improved digital private line telecommunications within Venezuela and with the US and other countries via an Intelsat earth station to be built by Comsat Systems Division.
