Tandy Corp’s Radio Shack started marketing the Fort Worth company’s new Multimedia Personal Computers, announced in May, at the end of last week: they all come with the Tandy CDR-1000 CD-ROM drive and an audio board, and comprise the Tandy 2500 SX Multimedia, a 16MHz 80386SX box with 2Mb and 40Mb disk for $2,800; 2500 SX/20 Multimedia, with 20MHz version of the chip, 4Mb memory and 52Mb disk for $3,000; the 4016 DX Multimedia, with 4Mb 16MHz 80386 and 52Mb disk for $4,000; 4025 LX Multimedia with 25MHz 4Mb 80386 and 105Mb disk for $5,000, and the same thing at 33MHz for $5,500; a colour VGA monitor is $400, Super VGA monitor is $630.
