A few weeks back, Open Software Foundation president David Tory was toying with the idea of pulling the club out of X/Open Co Ltd and brought it up with the standards body citing financial constraints – the Foundation pays $1m for its membership; it’s difficult to judge how serious he was, because he hasn’t brought the subject up lately.
