Over the next five years Tandem Computers Ltd, based in Uxbridge, Middlesex will be supplying Non-Stop Cyclone machines to National Westminster Bank Plc for its 13 Group Treasury and Capital Markets applications which currently run on assorted hardware from companies such as ICL, IBM and DEC: the system will use Atlas software from Chicago-based Internet Systems Corp to provide an integrated system which will give an overall view of all operations on a client-by-client basis while allowing trading to continue; NatWest is looking at a UKP50m bill over the next five years from Tandem and others vendors.
