Novell Inc has opened a European Support Centre in Dusseldorf, Germany, to provide technical support to resellers and distributors across Europe, the Middle East and Africa: the centre consolidates the post-sales hotline support, provided by Novell’s UK, French and German subsidiaries; available free to Novell distributors, systems houses and technical support alliance partners, the centre can be used on a chargeable basis; the company says, however, that the primary route for customer support is to remain with its resellers and distributors; it also introduced a Certified NetWare Administrator programme for NetWare users performing system administration functions: the programme identifies a curriculum and provides a certification test separately for the different versions of NetWare.
