Adobe Systems Inc says that its Adobe Streamline 3.0 software for Microsoft Windows offers new image processing tools, enhanced colour support, a more interactive user interface, interoperability with Adobe Illustrator 4.0 for Windows, and export support for several file formats; Adobe Streamline 3.0 is used to convert colour and black-and-white bitmapped images into PostScript quality line art; it includes three conversion methods for producing line art from colour and greyscale bit-mapped image files, and contrast conversion, based on differences in colour and intensity, is said to be optimal for images without strongly defined contrast; the user interface supports intuitive interoperation with Adobe Illustrator 4.0 for Windows, and a new Toolbox simplifies functions; Adobe Streamline 3.0 for Windows will be available in the second quarter of 1992, and it costs $200 while registered users may buy an upgrade for $50.
