Tidemark and cloud connection company SnapLogic have signed a strategic partnership to provide Tidemark customers the business benefits of a tightly integrated software suite while giving them the choice to use whatever applications best meet their needs.
Under this agreement, Tidemark will embed SnapLogic’s Integration Platform into the Tidemark’s EPM offering.
To deliver product integration support between Tidemark and SnapLogic’s offerings, the two companies have committed to share their development resources.
Tidemark Enterprise Performance Management Platform delivers real-time, robust risk-adjusted metrics management; strategic, financial and operational planning and forecasting; and profitability modeling, said Tidemark.
Organisations can extract immediate value from large amounts of complex, dynamic data from hundreds of different data sources at a lower total cost of ownership (TCO) than proprietary offerings by integrating cloud-based data integration platform and purpose-built EPM applications with pre-built functionality.
With the embedded SnapLogic offering, Tidemark Enterprise Performance Management Platform users get a SnapLogic Server which goes beyond traditional extract, transform and load (ETL) capabilities by offering discoverable, callable and reusable data services and a SnapStore that lets user to purchase and download a Snap in seconds to connect any data source to Tidemark, where Snaps are modular collections of integration components built for a specific application or data source.
In addition, the embedded SnapLogic offering provides a SnapReduce for Hadoop which transforms SnapLogic data integration pipelines directly into MapReduce tasks that run on the Tidemark Enterprise Performance Management Platform, making Hadoop processing accessible and resulting in optimal Hadoop cluster utilisation.
Tidemark founder and CEO Christian Gheorghe said organisations can now build performance management applications that extract value from a huge variety of data sources.
"These sources are natively integrated in the cloud, including relational data, activity streams, XML and text with built-in data cleansing, which enables organizations to execute their integrations on our infrastructure with SnapLogic’s technology without the need for costly and time consuming hand coding," said Gheorghe.
SnapLogic founder and CEO Gaurav Dhillon said the strategic alliance between SnapLogic and Tidemark enables customers to rapidly and easily integrate the Tidemark Enterprise Performance Management Platform with a wide variety of data sources both on premise and in the cloud, delivering the benefits of packaged software suites while preserving customer choice.
"The combination of Tidemark and SnapLogic’s Integration Platform provides tremendous value for companies everywhere that want to exploit the next-generation of EPM applications built for the cloud," said Dhillon.
