Abingdon, Oxfordshire-based Allied Telesis Ltd has launched a line of 16-bit AT bus Ethernet network interface boards, the 1500 series and 1700 series: the 1500s have a DMA Bus Master architecture, while the 1700 family uses a 32Kb Shared Memory architecture; the 10Base-T versions of both families cost ?60 under an introductory offer; the combined 10Base-2 and 10Base-T models are to cost ?70; ones combining FOIRL and 10Base-T are ?230.
