Credence Systems Corp of Fremont, California has finalised the acquisition of the Oregon-based Semiconductor Test Systems division of Tektronix Inc, which will now officially operate as the Credence Beaverton Business Unit: the acquisition increases the size of Credence Systems Corp and brings to the company the S-3200 Series and the Vista Series of VLSI test systems, which are manufactured in Beaverton; Credence says that no changes in personnel or operating structure are anticipated, and the company will lease facilities from Tektronix for six months while seeking a new site for the Beaverton Unit.
