Coventry-based Quadra Ltd has launched the Integrated Services Digital Network EuroBridge, claimed as the first wide area network-to-Token Ring bridge-router to support IBM Corp source routing protocols, NetBIOS and SNA/Logical Link Control 2 – as well as TCP/IP, DLC and Internet Packet Exchange-Sequential Packet Exchange. The product is being marketed as ISDN for the Token Ring market and is compatible with IBM NetView and LAN Network Manager. An ISDN EuroStation mini-version is also available, for transfer of data between stand-alone personal computers in small office, home office use, says the company. EuroBridge and EuroStation are available in kit form at UKP3,500. The kits include a Token Ring bridge adaptor, Euro-ISDN 2B co-processor, AT or Micro Channel bus adaptor, and bridge-control software programs. The minimum requirement is an AT or PS/2 80386SX-based personal computer with 20MHz processor and two free 16-bit AT or Micro Channel slots.
