Canon Inc will start selling two new types of flatbed color scanners in Japan on July 15: Canon expects to sell 6,000 a month of its CanoScan 300 model, designed for personal use, and 4,000 units of its CanoScan 600 for professional use, per month. CanoScan 300, a 300 dpi A4 scanner, will be priced at $460 and CanoScan 600, a 600 dpi A4 scanner, at $1,050, Canon said.
