Business software provider Quest Software saw a 9.1% rise in revenues to $203m compared to the prior year’s revenues of $186.1 million.
Quest’s net income for the second quarter was $6.3 million or $0.07 per share, down from $17.4 million or $0.19 per share a year earlier.
The company notes that the profits are low due to higher operating expenses and slower returns from recent acquisitions.
Total revenues for the first six months were up by 9.5% to $391.1 million, compared to $357.3 million in the same period last year.
The company closed the quarter with $281.2m in cash and investments, a decrease of $114.8m from the end of March.
Net income for the six months was $10m or $0.11 per diluted share compared to net income of $33m or $0.36 per diluted share for the same period in 2010.
