Data Systems International has introduced dcLINK Mobile Application Platform’s latest version – dcLINK 7R6.
The dcLINK 7R6 includes new features such as Multi-View, to develop mobile applications for multi-device environments, as well as enhanced capabilities for various smartphone and tablet platforms.
The full-client, off-network capabilities of TranCollector, previously only available on Windows-based PC and Mobile devices, have been extended to include other smartphones.
Data Systems International product manager Alec Caldwell said as new smartphones and tablets enter the market and existing platforms go in and out of fashion, it is crucial to an organization’s return on investment to be able to mobilize their data on multiple platforms seamlessly.
"This release of dcLINK 7 allows access to enterprise data on additional platforms such as Android, BlackBerry and iOS," Caldwell said.
The Multi-View feature is an extension of the dcLINK TranBuilder application development tool that allows for an application to be developed once, regardless of disparate device platforms.
"The multiple views allow those in the development stages to change the aesthetics and tailor the same application design to different platforms.
"Design can be modified on various platforms such as Android, BlackBerry, iOS, Windows, and Windows Mobile, all from one source," Caldwell said.
