Norman has launched its next generation Malware Analyzer G2 platform.

The analyzer encompasses a Hybrid SandBoxing technology, a Microsoft Windows malware analysis environment, which offers new IntelliVM capability and KernelScout technology built by the company to detect deeply hidden suspicious software behavior and security threats.

They also help malware analysts analyse Microsoft environments using emulation and advanced virtualisation technologies, and offer enhanced threat intelligence for enterprise and government.

It also uses Analysis Desktop, a Web-based management and operations console offering advanced functionality for enterprises and governments who have to carry out their own security analysis in case of increasing threats of advanced persistent threats (APT).

The new offering is either available as a hardware appliance or a software and offers more visibility into malware through its Microsoft applications such as Office, third party files including PDFs and web threats from URLs, than other tools using single layer approaches.

Norman said Malware Analyzer G2 provides analysts with easy-to-use web-based management and operations console that delivers customisable technical and executive reports as needed and will seamlessly integrate with existing analysis labs, honeypots, and other systems already in place, the company said.

The Malware Analyzer platform has a Debugger PRO, which analyses suspicious files and performs advanced analysis of the most complex malware threats organisations encounter.
