The Alcatel CIT unit of Alcatel Alsthom SA has signed contracts worth a total $133m to $190m to supply and install more than 1m telephone lines in China: 400,000 Alcatel 1000 E10 lines will be supplied to the province of Heilongjang; 322,000 to Hunan; other lines to be installed include 270,000 for the province of Hubel.
