Bell Atlantic Corp declined comment on a report in the Financial Times that it was bidding with France Telecom for a joint 27% stake in the Czech Republic’s SPT Telecom which goes on sale next month: AT&T Corp was bidding together with its Unisource NV venture partners Koninklijke PTT Nederland NV and Swiss Telecom for a stake in the company, while Ameritech Corp may team with Deutsche Bundespost Telekom.
