Virtualisation and cloud infrastructure provider VMware has expanded its VMware Ready Program for partners providing desktop virtualisation offerings based on VMware View.
The new program provides customers with validated desktop virtualisation solution architectures that meet VMware’s functional and scalability requirements and are delivered by qualified VMware offering providers.
As part of the program, VMware and its partners validate the complete offering stack, including hardware offerings for compute, storage and network resources.
In addition, both the parties identify qualified delivery partners who can deploy and support an end-to-end desktop virtualisation offering.
VMware said that with the help of VMware Ready Desktop offerings, US government agencies will comply with the Telework Act of 2010 – which requires the head of each Federal agency to develop IT infrastructure that supports telework policies.
These offerings are purpose-built to address the security needs of the Federal worker and include validated hardware offerings from leading technology partners.
The new program will include offerings from qualified partners with proven expertise in additional targeted vertical markets including education and healthcare, according to VMware.
