Compagnie des Machines Bull SA’s new-found friendship with IPC Corp Ltd of Singapore is very bad news for Massachusetts, because Bull is transferring production of its CP8 Smart Cards from its Brighton plant to one run by IPC in China, La Tribune Desfosses reported. The paper reckons Bull will shut the Brighton plant at a cost of 800 jobs, and move the work to the IPC joint venture.
