Bell Atlantic Corp’s computer leasing business has been something of a pass-the-parcel property, and when last heard of was being sold to PacifiCorp, but it has likely now reached its last resting place with the news that fast-growing and ambitious but still privately-held El Camino Resources Ltd of Woodland Hills, California is to buy the existing lease portfolios of PacifiCorp Capital Corp and Bell Atlantic Systems Leasing Inc, and the business of the Pacific Atlantic Systems Leasing joint venture. El Camino already does upwards of $500m a year and this deal should near double its size.It operates in Europe as ATC, is an official AS/400 reseller, and has software and consulting units and a refurbishing centre.
