San Mateo, California-based Connectix Corp, maker of digital cameras for personal computers and desktop software utilities, has been growing at over 40% per quarter since 1993, but thinks it could do even better with a few acquisitions, and it has bought InVision Systems Corp of Tulsa, Oklahoma, described a pioneer in desktop videoconferencing software. InVision is claimed to be the first network-based videoconferencing system to operate on today’s desktop computers, and the company has an estimated 10% of the videoconferencing software market. Financial details of the deal were not revealed.
