The Astral Alliance for Strategic Token Ring Advancement & Leadership has announced a new multi-vendor interoperability testing program for Token Ring products that adhere to the draft Dedicated Token Ring standard being developed by the IEEE. The standard is designed to increase available bandwidth to end users dramatically by providing dedicated links between stations and their Token Ring switch and enabling stations to send and receive simultaneously. The testing program is to take place at the University of New Hampshire InterOperability Lab.
