Beaverton, Oregon-based Gallium Arsenide fabricator TriQuint Semiconductor Inc warns that its earlier reports of order softness for its telecommunications division is expected to continue through year-end 1994, and that if order softness continues, it will hit 1994 and 1995 revenues and earnings; it expects to be unprofitable in the second and third quarters of 1994, and president Steve Sharp reports that Northern Telecom Ltd, TriQuint’s largest customer, indicated that as a result of a manufacturing improvement programme, combined with a change in product mix, we should expect to see a major reduction in orders through the end of this year; it also requested that we postpone shipments against current orders, he said.
