As predicted (CI 2769), Apple Computer Inc’s is scrapping its unsuccessful eWorld online service. The news was broken to eWorld publishers in a memo last Friday saying the service would cease operations on March 31. Publishers were invited to take part in a series of farewell conferences. According to the memo, the decision to discontinue eWorld happened due to a review of business models.
