BT has re-launched its wholesale voice-over-IP (WVoIP) offering with new upgrades that adhere to the new internet standards.

The enhanced WVoIP offering new features include the option to connect via direct access lines using the company’s Ethernet service.

In addition, a new automated system enables partners to perform number porting directly via the secure, web-based, European Reseller System (ERS) portal, the company said.

BT said that the enhanced WVoIP now allows service providers to migrate large numbers of VoIP users to the platform with the self-service system enabling them to manage their customers and the assigned phone numbers in a convenient way.

Further, the offering provides resellers with a platform on which they can build their own enhanced service offerings for the SME and consumer market.

BT global telecom markets managing director Beatriz Butsana-Sita said innovation is not slowing down in the voice-technology arena and they continue to add value to their wholesale proposition to ensure that their customers are getting the most out of the transition from traditional telephony to integrated VoIP services.

The upgraded offering is available in the Netherlands and Germany.
