Zeus Technology, a software-based application traffic management firm, has said that it is helping BT, a provider of communicationsservices, to deliver seamless online services across its premier websites.
The BT’s online services serve approximately 15 million registered users, processing in excess of 100 million hits per day, presenting over 10 million dynamic pages per day, handling in excess of 100,000 business transactions and responding to over 1 million searches per day via its BT Yahoo Portal.
Zeus is acting as a traffic management layer, routing and managing customer’s access to BTs self-services, such as its personalised customer account pages to view call and bandwidth usage, and also personalising their end services through its automated online sales channel.
The Zeus software offering enables BT to deliver a consistent user experience between geographically separated datacentres.
In addition, Zeus Traffic Manager is part of BT’s portfolio and has become the standard choice of application traffic management across BT’s market facing websites.
Zeus Technology CEO Jim Darragh said as one of the largest service providers in the world, it is imperative that BT’s customers have instant access to account information online.
"Any downtime would not only negatively impact BT’s brand image but also put increased pressure on its call centre operations, resulting in longer wait times for customers," Darragh said.
"Our technology allows businesses such as BT, to ensure their web applications are reliable, secure, and perform under pressure so users can access information at any time."
