Zye Technology Ltd, Crawley, West Sussex-based supplier of computer peripherals and accessories has launched a line of personal computers in its first move into selling complete desktop systems. The BlueLinear range currently features three processor options. The entry-level model is preconfigured for multimedia operation, conforming to the MPC-2 standard and featuring a dual speed, multi-session CD-ROM drive with 16-bit stereo sound board. It is based around the 80486DX33 processor and has 4Mb RAM, VESA local bus, 1Mb VESA video accelerator board and removable hard disk. It also has a parallel port and two serial and game ports. The next model up is 80486DX66-based and the top-end model uses the Pentium P60 66MHz processor. There is also the option to buy the range in modules without monitor or disk drive, for example, so users can use combine the parts they already own. Prices will start at UKP704 to resellers.
