CyrusOne, a provider of enterprise data centre co-location, will expand its operations in European market with a new co-location data centre in London.
The new 10,000 square foot co-location data centre is the first data centre for the company in Europe, which will expand the company’s international customer base and serve existing CyrusOne customers that have international data centre requirements.
The new London facility will feature N+N or N+1 power offerings; a minimum N+N Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) with battery back-up, a minimum of N+1 standby on all cooling systems, and fire detection and suppression, security and building management systems.
In addition, the facility will have access to multiple telecommunication providers including: Abovenet, British Telecom, COLT, Easynet, Virgin Media, Vtesse and Verizon, the company said.
CyrusOne CEO David Ferdman said the expansion is in direct response to their customers’ growing demand and evolving requirements for colocation space, and some very attractive, growing market segments in Europe.
"As with all our other facilities, our London data centre will offer state-of-the-art, raised floor space that adheres to the highest engineering design standards with focus on resiliencies and redundancies," Ferdman said.
The company expects the new data centre to be operational in spring 2011.
