There doesn’t seem to be a state-owned phone company that is not vastly overmanned, and Bezeq Israel Telecommunications Ltd is just the latest to confess that it could get along with 1,250 fewer employees than the 9,200 it has now. It will shed 200 in early retirements this year, and wants another 1,050 to go within five years from next year.
