MultiDimension Technology (MDT), a supplier of magnetic sensors, has released a new sensor designed to detect magnetic properties on banknotes in financial anti-counterfeit appliances.

The MMGB01/MMGB06/MMGB18 sensors use Magnetoresistance (TMR) magnetic sensors to provide high sensitivity and signal-to-noise ratio to increase signal detection on banknotes.

The MMGB01 series include products with single-channel detection capability, while MMGB06 and MMGB18 come with six-channel and 18-channel sensors that can read multiple signals in parallel.

Song Xue, chairman and CEO of MultiDimension Technology, said MDT’s new TMR magnetic sensors are the first products using TMR technology in the financial anti-counterfeit appliances market.

"MDT’s TMR technology is fully capable of high-resolution magnetic image retrieval to meet the stringent requirements of the next-generation financial anti-counterfeit appliances. We are confident that our MDT can bring this enabling technology to the market, which has long been seeking a solution that cannot be accomplished by current technologies," he explained.

MDT, founded in 2010, also develops a unique intellectual property portfolio and other manufacturing capabilities.
