Dell has released a virtualisation operations management suite which claims to help businesses of different sizes to streamline virtualisation, storage and cloud computing.
The updated applications include Foglight for virtualisation, Enterprise and Standard Editions 7.0 as well as Foglight for Storage Management 3.0.
The revamped applications are said to address various data centre transformation challenges including improving performance and efficiency in virtual environment, solving end-to-end storage and virtualisation challenges in cloud based systems.
Dell Software product management executive director John Maxwell said, "Dell Software’s virtualisation operations management suite helps simplify the complexity of today’s modern data centres to help I&O professionals deliver on these top priorities, resolve problems before they affect business-critical applications, and ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction."
According to the company, the updated virtualisation operations management suite helps in reducing operational costs by reducing infrastructure complexity, while allowing rapid adoption as well as configuration management, resource utilisation and storage.
Additionally, the applications come with VMware vCloud Director support for monitoring and improving cloud adoption, VMware View support for visibility into performance of the virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) and vSphere 5.5 support.
