About 30% of firms globally do not use the latest automated client management tools, according to a research by B2B International and Kaspersky Lab.
The research revealed that the majority of firms still don’t use a dedicated offering to register software and hardware, manage software licenses, and update operating systems – all claimed to simplify and speed up these operations.
According to the research, 14% of global firms have no plans of doing so in the future, while when implemented these tools are claimed to make a major contribution to the firm’s security in addition to trimming down IT-related workloads and expenses.
About 42% of firms that have already implemented client management tools have been able to remotely install an operating system on a local network.
The report revealed that about half of the firms that deploy client management tools have automated their software installation process, while 51% have computerised their tracking systems for corporate hardware, applications and software licenses.
About 35% of firms install updates automatically, which would considerably strengthen workstation protection against exploits, malicious programmes that use weaknesses in the OS and other software to attack the system.
