Prior to its split into two business units, HP has announced the exit of its Enterprise Group (EG) executive vice president Bill Veghte.
HP‘s EG senior vice president Antonio Neri, who worked to transform and accelerate HP’s Server business, will be taking over Veghte’s position.
Since October, Veghte has been leading the separation efforts for Hewlett Packard Enterprise while Neri was managing the business.
The company is half-way through its split after which it will be divided into two units.
One will be called Hewlett-Packard Enterprise, which will focus on enterprise technology infrastructure, software and services, while the other will be named HP Inc and will manage the company’s personal computer and printer businesses.
Bill Veghte also worked as the as HP’s CEO in 2010, and was responsible for the company’s strategy to enable operational excellence across the company.
Veghte said: "The decision to leave a company and people you are passionate about is never an easy one.
"It has been a privilege working with Meg and a great leadership team as we transform Hewlett Packard to help customers on their journey to the New Style of IT.
"HP is equipped to take the business to new heights with great leaders like Antonio Neri and Chris Hsu and the progress we have made over the last 4 years."
It is not known where he is heading, but the company said he is parting ways to pursue his own opportunities.
