Twitter has introduced a new tool to help advertisers better understand their audience and to tailor ads in more effective ways.
The audience insights dashboard tool provides aggregate data on user demographics, interests, purchasing behavior, TV viewing behavior and mobile usage behaviour.
The tool helps marketers decide how to target potential customers on the site. It is currently available to all Twitter advertisers and analytics users.
It can be accessed within the US, but the company is planning to roll out the tool other countries in the next few months.
Twitter product manager Andrew Bragdon said a blog post, "With audience insights, you can easily discover valuable insights about your followers and the people who have engaged with your organic Tweets.
"You can also identify new, relevant audiences to target for an upcoming campaign."
Earlier this month, Twitter rolled out a new search results interface with a revised design to all logged-in users on its site.
Last month, the company introduced a new feature, Highlights, to help users find the best tweets on a particular day.
