OnDisplay, a middleware start-up founded last year in San Ramon, California, has completed its second round of venture capital funding, securing a total of $6.7m. The funds included $4m from new investor Norwest Venture Capital, and the rest from existing investors Atlas Venture and Matrix Partners. OnDisplay’s CenterStage application integration software, launched last March, is designed to enable data from anywhere on the web to be precisely accessed, extracted and categorized before being integrated with business applications for processing, analyzing and manipulating. In July, IBM’s Lotus Development Corp licensed the technology for use in the next version of its NotesPump data distribution server (CI No 3,211). OnDisplay claims that a third round of financing is not in the foreseeable future.
