Daimler-Benz AG has completed the $162m purchase of the 19.6% stake in its information technology subsidiary Debis Systemhaus owned by French software company Cap Gemini Sogeti SA. The deal, announced last month, (CI 3,202) follows a divorce of interests by the two company and Daimler-Benz sold its 24.4% stake in Cap Gemini to CGIT, the French holding company. Debis originally bought a stake in Cap Gemini in 1995 as part of a plan to create a pan-Europe services company but the two companies have differences on future strategy.
