Connectsoft Communications Corp, an off-shoot of American United Global Inc, is planning an initial public offering of shares to raise more than $20m to boost its position in the growing field of unified messaging technology. The new system enables customers to bring all their messages together and choose whether they want to retrieve them as voice mail, email or fax. Connectsoft, from Bellevue, Washington, expects telcos and internet service providers to buy its FreeAgent software and offer the service to customers for an enhanced fee.
