SunGard’s Asset Arena will continue to provide integrated portfolio management and enhanced compliance capabilities across Cadiz African Harvest Asset Management’s (CAHAM) combined and diversified asset management business. CAHAM will continue to use Asset Arena on an outsourced basis, with application hosting and maintenance managed by SunGard.

Phil Sturgess, COO of CAHAM, said: While providing the benefits associated with outsourcing non-core business functions, SunGard’s Asset Arena has proven to be a robust, flexible and scalable solution that helps support the growth of our combined business. This, combined with strong local services and support, has been key to the continuing success of our SunGard relationship.

Ettie Takacs, managing director at SunGard South Africa, said: Having worked with Cadiz since 2002, we are pleased to further our relationship with CAHAM. By providing enhanced functional capabilities based on a new technology and services framework, Asset Arena will enable CAHAM to consolidate and streamline its expanded front-office operations and therefore help improve operational efficiency.

SunGard will continue to help CAHAM leverage Asset Arena to meet ever evolving industry challenges such as complex instrument coverage, electronic market connectivity and maintain best execution across the investment management lifecycle.
