Award Software International Inc a Mountain View, California- based provider of system management software has appointed Laurent Gharda VP marketing. Gharda joins Award from Ray Noorda’s Willows Software Inc, where he held the same position. And Gharda brings some of his favorite Willows toys with him. In a deal announced Wednesday, Award will acquire the Willows Toolkit for Unix and Willows RT for Embedded Systems, along with a distribution pact that will see both companies offering the product to consumers. Willows technology is used to migrate Windows applications to alternative platforms. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
